About
India's first Prime Ministerial museum, opened in 2022 within the historic Teen Murti House complex, the former residence of India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. It absorbed and greatly expanded the earlier Nehru Memorial Museum, adding galleries dedicated to every Indian Prime Minister from Nehru to the present day. Interactive exhibits, light-and-sound shows and archival material trace the evolution of India's political leadership since independence. The complex sits within the same landscaped grounds as the original colonial-era Teen Murti Bhavan.
Did you know? Teen Murti House, home to the Nehru Memorial Museum, was originally built as the residence of the British Commander-in-Chief in India before becoming independent India's first Prime Minister's official residence for 16 years.
