The Safdarjung Road residence where Indira Gandhi lived during her terms as Prime Minister, and where she was assassinated by her own bodyguards on 31 October 1984. The exact spot where she fell is marked with a crystal walkway, and her blood-stained sari is displayed among personal artefacts and photographs documenting her life and premiership. The museum also traces the broader Nehru-Gandhi political dynasty's role in independent India's history. It remains one of Delhi's most visited sites associated with modern Indian political history.
