About
A 17th-century coastal watchtower built by the Portuguese around 1640 at the mouth of Mahim Bay, later fortified further by the British to guard maritime approaches to Bombay. Its low-slung ramparts and bastions overlook Bandra Bandstand and offer sweeping views of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. The fort has become one of Mumbai's most popular sunset viewpoints, especially among couples and photographers. It remains freely accessible with no ticketed entry.
