About
A Gothic Revival Anglican church consecrated in 1858, popularly named for the 34 stone angels lining its facade, memorials to British and Anglo-Afghan soldiers killed in the First Anglo-Afghan War of 1838-42. Its stained glass windows and marble memorial plaques commemorate regiments who served in the campaign. The church sits within the naval area of Colaba, near the southern tip of Mumbai. It is one of the few Mumbai churches open to the public only on Sundays for service.
