About
India's largest railway museum, opened in 1977 in Chanakyapuri, showcases over a century of Indian railway history through vintage steam locomotives, royal saloon carriages and railway memorabilia spread across indoor galleries and an outdoor yard. Highlights include the 1855 Fairy Queen, one of the world's oldest working steam locomotives, and the ornate saloon built for the Maharaja of Baroda. A miniature train ride around the grounds is popular with children. It remains a major draw for rail enthusiasts and families alike.
