About
A domed Bahá'í House of Worship completed in 1986, shaped like a lotus flower with 27 free-standing marble-clad petals arranged in clusters of three. Open to people of all faiths for silent prayer and meditation, it has no idols, sermons or rituals — only quiet contemplation. It became one of the most visited buildings in the world within a decade of opening. The structure's nine surrounding pools help cool the interior naturally.
