About
India's largest comprehensive Hindu temple complex, opened in 2005 and built entirely without steel, using traditional Hindu temple architecture carved from pink sandstone and Italian marble. The intricately carved complex draws on the craftsmanship of over 7,000 artisans and features exhibition halls, a musical fountain and India's largest stepped waterfront. It is dedicated to Bhagwan Swaminarayan and run by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. The complex was entered into the Guinness World Records as the world's largest comprehensive Hindu temple.
