About

A specialist museum on the NIMHANS (National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences) campus, established in 1997 and reputed to be one of the largest human brain collections in Asia, with several hundred preserved brain specimens. Exhibits illustrate the effects of various neurological and psychiatric conditions on brain structure, aimed primarily at medical students and researchers as well as curious members of the public. Visits are limited to scheduled guided tour slots rather than free daily access, reflecting its dual role as a teaching resource and public museum. Photography is not permitted during sessions.
