A hilltop palace built during the reign of Travancore king Sree Moolam Thirunal, once the venue for royal banquets, now a public events space surrounded by landscaped gardens overlooking the city.
Did you know? Kanakakunnu Palace once hosted lavish state banquets for the Travancore royal family — today its grounds are used for exactly the opposite kind of public gathering: open-air concerts, dance festivals and public exhibitions.
