About
A museum in Pune housing the private collection of Dr. Dinkar Kelkar, assembled over decades and dedicated to the memory of his son Raja, who died young. Its roughly 20,000 artefacts span musical instruments, lamps, vessels, carved doorways and everyday objects of pre-industrial India. The building itself, designed in a traditional Maharashtrian style, is considered part of the exhibit. It remains one of India's most eclectic and personally curated decorative arts museums.
