About
The Gamdevi home where Mahatma Gandhi stayed during his visits to Mumbai between 1917 and 1934, and from where he launched the Quit India movement in August 1942 with his "Do or Die" call. The house belonged to his associate Revashankar Jagjivan Jhaveri and now functions as a memorial and research library. Exhibits include a recreation of Gandhi's room, photographs and dioramas depicting key moments of the independence struggle. It remains a modest but historically significant pilgrimage site for followers of Gandhi.
