About

A striking tribal art form using only white pigment on a mud-red or ochre background, created by the Warli tribal community using simple geometric shapes — circles, triangles and squares — to depict daily life, harvests, and rituals.

Did you know? Warli paintings are traditionally created using rice paste applied with a bamboo stick chewed at the end to form a crude brush — the entire art form uses no more than these two basic tools and a single colour.
