About
A gossamer-fine handwoven silk saree tradition combining the jamdani technique of extra-weft weaving with local silk, producing intricately patterned motifs that appear to float on an almost transparent base fabric.
Did you know? Uppada Jamdani weavers create their patterns using an "extra weft" technique — additional threads woven in by hand alongside the base fabric — a method so labour-intensive that a single fine saree can take a skilled weaver over a month to complete.
