About
An extraordinarily delicate silver wire craft (tarakasi) where pure silver is drawn into fine threads and woven or twisted into intricate lace-like jewellery and decorative objects, a tradition unique to Cuttack for over a thousand years.
Did you know? Cuttack's silver filigree artisans work the silver wire so fine that it is often compared to actual lace or spider silk — the entire piece is built up thread by thread using only small hand tools, tweezers, and immense patience.
