About
An extraordinarily delicate silver wire craft (tarakasi) where pure silver is drawn into fine threads and woven or twisted into intricate lace-like jewellery and decorative objects, a tradition unique to Cuttack for over a thousand years.
Did you know? Cuttack's silver filigree artisans work the silver wire so fine that it is often compared to actual lace or spider silk, the entire piece is built up thread by thread using only small hand tools, tweezers, and immense patience.
