A distinctive matte-black pottery incised with silver-coloured designs, fired in a low-oxygen kiln that gives the clay its jet-black finish before decorative patterns are pressed in by hand.
Did you know? The pottery's black colour comes entirely from the firing process itself, smoke is deliberately trapped inside the kiln during firing, starving the clay of oxygen and turning it black without any dye or glaze.
