About

A vibrant enamelling technique fusing coloured glass powders onto gold and silver surfaces through repeated firing, historically used to decorate the reverse side of Kundan jewellery so even the "hidden" side of an ornament was beautifully finished.

Did you know? Meenakari was reportedly introduced to Jaipur by Raja Man Singh I in the 16th century, who brought enamellists from Lahore — meaning one of Rajasthan's most iconic crafts actually has its origins outside the state entirely.
