About
A naturally dyed handloom textile from the Mirgan community, coloured entirely with root extract from the aul tree to produce its distinctive maroon-and-black palette, with no chemical dyes used at any stage.
Did you know? Kotpad Handloom was the very first product from Odisha to receive a GI tag — its dye is extracted from the roots of the Aul (Indian madder) tree through a fermentation process that can take several days before the yarn is ready to weave.
