About
A geometric hand-embroidery tradition dating to the Chalukya era, worked entirely by counting threads rather than drawing a pattern first, producing intricate temple, chariot and lotus motifs.
Did you know? Kasuti embroiderers never sketch their pattern onto the cloth first — every motif is built purely by counting threads in the weave, a discipline traditionally taught by having young girls first master it on their own trousseau saree.
