About

A warm, matte-textured "peace silk" spun from the open cocoons of the Eri silkworm, harvested without killing the moth inside — making it one of the few silks compatible with strict Ahimsa (non-violence) principles.

Did you know? Eri silk is nicknamed "Ahimsa silk" because the moth is allowed to complete its natural life cycle and leave the cocoon before the fibre is harvested, unlike most silk production which requires killing the pupa inside.
