About

A 11th-century Hindu temple dedicated to a form of Shiva called Tribhubaneswar (Lord of the Universe), with a 180-foot sanctuary tower and a sprawling complex that grew over centuries as a pilgrimage centre.

Did you know? Lingaraj Temple was so significant that Bhubaneswar once had as many as 700 temples, earning the city its nickname "The Temple City of India," though most are now lost or in ruins.
